Random Thoughts you have about movies you've watched ...
So I watched Forbidden Kingdom Last Night .... the regret ....
According to Internet Movie Database it has a whopping 7+ stars over 10 which i think is way to much, because I just click the 1 star button. Why did I click the one star button?
1) they butcher a well told story and demoted it to shit.
2) they only needed jet lee
2.1) jackie chan's character is not even necessary in the story line. lol
The real story of the monkey king is a classic Chinese Literature that has been around for centuries only to become a farce in today hollywood. Tsk Tsk Tsk the shame! and its not even funny.
it is like, Harry Potter meet Merlin, let see Hamlet, Prince of Denmark meet James Bond, Samson and Delilah meet the barber shop :P
You know,
King Arthur is in danger of getting kill, Merlin help using his magic but NO he fail and POP COMES Harry Potter.
or Hamlet's father get assassinated and he hire James Bone to find the killer.
its so bad, bad bad bad! please avoid at all cost
so while i was looking up The forbidden kingdom, on the front page of IMDB was the today's birthday's thingy. and guess whos still alive :P
Olivia de Havilland who you asked is that ? well I remember her from Gone With the Wind, Ashley's wife. stupid stupid Ashley. 92 years old ... ! wander if she play guild wars...

Pulp fiction, total recall, and half baked are some of my favorite movies ever

one thing that REALLY pisses me off is the categorization of "STAR WARS" as SiFi.
its NOT its fantasy in space. sheesh.
Terminator is not a dumbass brainless action movie. its an incredibly complex and deep movie with little dialog and lots of action (T2 and T3 completely ruin the plot but thats Hollywood for you).
The only sequel/continuation worthy of The Matrix is The Animatrix. Matrix 2 and 3 are TOSH.
Mad Max has the best car ever you dont even think about denying that UNLESS you compare it to Tim Burtons original Batmobile.
and of the top of my head,
Dark City ,The Day the Earth Stood Still , Andromeda Strain are classic movies that should be obligatory viewing.

not only that, the soundtrack kicks ass and the dialog is simply out of this world.
the final warning never fails to make the hairs on my neck stand on end.

Aside from the original trilogy, the second prequal, and a few of the games, I can't stand starwars anymore. The books have been awful ever since that vorgon invasion series or whatever.
And I want another X-wing or Tie Fighter game. Lucasarts really needs to revive that series.

Forbidden Kingdom = Faux chinese movie with a white guy playing and failing as the lead in a retelling of the Monkey King. This was a far better adaptation and it was done without any big names(at the time) and on a TV movie budget.
Its SciFi.
Random thought after watching The Happening. Mark Wahlberg is gonna have more trouble living it down then Marky Mark.

Yea, they definately could have picked a better main character, i would have liked a badass turning away from criminal life dude to play the main character, but no they get some stupid teenage kid who wants to be Asian... They butchered the godly combination of Jackie Chan and Jet Li, which was supposed to be a martial arts dream come true. I wish jet Li played the bad guy and Jackie chan played the good guy and they could face off.
But nonetheless i felt it was not terrible, id give it say a 5-6 out of 10.
On the topic, when i saw Wanted, I thought of Fight Club. I enjoyed the movie and storyline, as well as the action. Pretty cliche story, but I love a good cliche story every now and then

"Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull" was so disappointing. It had some entertaining parts but was way too unrealistic. I'm talking more about the stunts than the story itself. *Possible Spoilers* You see dodging bullets in many movies, but seriously guys! You can't dodge that many bullets without something unfortunate happening. But I let that go. Then he goes to that fake town with the atomic bomb about to blow up, gets into a fridge, and is blown outta there... and SURVIVES!!! Not only that, but he was barely scratched! Come on guys! Give me a break here and don't insult my intelligence. "Okay", I'm thinking to myself, "It's only the beginning of the movie and I'm sure they won't continue this foolishness". Then you have the psycho ants. Okay. But I think the last straw for me was the waterfalls. One, two, three of them. If you are going to have them crash down a waterfall, how about erasing or blotting out somehow the giant rocks jetting out at the bottom that they fell directly into! AND SURVIVED!! This is what happens when you have once great directors thinking they can throw tons of money at a movie and make it good without putting in some good content. Sad... very sad.

Yes The Mist was quite shocking.
But watch this movie: Spoorloos (The vanishing), the end made me feel kinda sick.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096163/ Don't watch the english remake, it's bad!

I was horrified, didn't want to keep watching it, but I was pulled in and couldn't stop until the brilliant, ultra-chilling, uncompromising finale. This was my first foreign film, and so I was completely unprepared for such a non-Hollywood experience. I will remember this movie for the rest of my life. Later on, I caught the American version in the theatres, watched it, a few thrills here and there, yadda, yadda. Jeff Bridges was pretty creepy, but quite frankly, I would have completely forgotten about it by now if it weren't for the original. It's not horrible, it just pales in comparison to a masterpiece.

You are so right. Indy should have died at the very beginning. And his friend should have shot him in the face twice. THEN it will be entertaining.
Don't forget, this is a family/PG-13(not sure) movie. Same as I don't expect blood and flying heads on Bruce the Almighty.
